One of the hardest parts about starting to blog is photos. Usually, as a newbie blogger, you may not know a whole lot yet about photography, and let’s be honest, sometimes it is just easier to save a photo that you find and use that for your posts. However, you can’t just use any old photo you find on the internet. There are copyright laws and things like that. Basically, it’s a big no-no. So, today I’m sharing 5 places (free and cheap) where you can find photos for your blog!

Just a note before we start, always make sure that any photos you find to use are okay for commercial use! You may need to do a little digging and find their terms of use, or the terms of use for a site, but this is so important. Some artists have different rules on how you can use their images and you want to be sure you are following those.

5 Places to Find Photos for Your Blog or Business

1. Pixabay
Pixabay is a FREE resource and their terms say that you can use any of the images on their site for commercial use!

2. Canva
Canva costs $1 for an image, which is really reasonable to me. You can then use that image for one project, if that makes sense. You can use it for one blog post, etc. They have some really high quality graphics and images, and I use Canva often.

3. Creative Market
Creative Market has photos, fonts, graphics, and more. Each person on Canva is an individual, so it helps to double check, but most allow commercial use! There are lots of stock photo bundles available and ADORABLE fonts here.

4. Freepik
This is another free image source, but you do need to credit the artist, or purchase a premium license in order to use without giving credit.

5. Etsy!
You may have never thought this, but there are lots of photographers on Etsy and some allow commercial use of their images. I love finding stock photos on Etsy, such as “flat lays” or “styled desktops”. Be sure to check the individual sellers’ policies before you use it on your blog or for products, and always feel free to message a seller for clarification.

There you have it! 5 places you can go to get beautiful photos and graphics for your blog for free or cheap. Do you know of any other resources? Share them in the comments!
